Sleeping Beauty recognises there are times when staff need to take time off work. This policy outlines the circumstances in which staff may take time off work, and how much time they are allowed, and whether they will be paid. All time off is unpaid unless specified.

Compassionate Leave

For compassionate leave, staff will be allowed time off work:

To cope with the death of an immediate family member or partner;

To attend the funeral of a non-immediate family member

The time off the employee needs to take off should be negotiated with the salon manager and will reflect each individual’s circumstances. A maximum of 3 days leave may be granted. If attending the funeral of a non-immediate family member try to arrange cover with your colleagues. Your manager will make reasonable efforts to accommodate leave.

Parental Leave

You are entitled to parental leave for any children under the age of 18 or any dependents you are responsible of. Parental leave is unpaid.
